New Appointments


Dr. Tarek A. Mohamed received Ph.D. at 1994 in the field of Molecular Spectroscopy and Computational Chemistry through a joint program between the Chemistry Departments at the University of South Carolina at Columbia (USC), University of Massachusetts at Amherst (UMass) and Al-Azhar University at Cairo. He starts his academic career in 1986 as a demonstrator at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, at Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt and being a full professor since 2005. His experience was extended to UAEU at Al Ain (1997-2003), SQU (SP2009) and UoN(2010-2012) at Sultanate of Oman. Mohamed TA has contributed to the fields of IR, Raman, NMR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, structural characterization, conformational analysis, vibrational assignments using quantum mechanical calculations compiled with normal coordinate analysis and force constants calculations. research fellow at the University of Missouri at Kansas City (UMKC), MO in 1996, 1998 and 2001 (July-August). Dr. Mohamed TA has already published more than 50 manuscripts in refereed international journals. He is on the editorial board at American Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy and chosen referee in TEN peer viewed international journals. He is also reviewer at Global Conference on Polymer and Composite Materials (PCM 2014 and PCM 2015), Global Conference on Materials Science and Engineering (CMSE 2014 and CMSE 2015), International Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology (iCBEB2014 and iCBEB2015).
